RPD Refugee Hearings

The Refugee Protection Division determines whether claimants qualify as Convention refugees under s.96 of IRPA (well-founded fear of persecution based on race, religion, nationality, political opinion, or membership in a particular social group) or persons in need of protection under s.97 (risk to life, cruel or unusual treatment, or torture).

Our RPD Representation

We provide comprehensive RPD representation including: thorough preparation of the Basis of Claim (BOC) narrative; assembly of country condition documentation; coordination of supporting witnesses and expert evidence; in-hearing examination and cross-examination of witnesses; and post-hearing written submissions where permitted.
