The Azimi Law team — personal injury and immigration litigation lawyers in Toronto, North York

Our Story

Azimi Law was founded in 2016 by Bahman "Ben" Azimi with a clear purpose: to give injured Ontarians and immigrants the same quality of legal representation that was once only available to the wealthy. Today, our firm handles some of the most complex personal injury and immigration litigation matters in Ontario — and we bring the same ferocity to every file, whether it is a $50,000 accident benefits claim or a Federal Court judicial review.

We are a full-service personal injury and immigration litigation firm based in North York, serving clients across the Greater Toronto Area and all of Ontario. Our office is located at 685 Sheppard Avenue East, Suite 508 — accessible by transit and with parking available.

Our Philosophy

We believe that the law is only as powerful as the lawyer who wields it. Insurance companies have armies of adjusters and in-house counsel whose job is to minimize your claim. We exist to be the counterbalancing force — knowledgeable, prepared, and relentlessly focused on your outcome.

Most personal injury cases settle. But not all of them should — and not at the insurer's preferred number. When a settlement isn't reasonable, we litigate. When a tribunal makes an error, we appeal. When IRCC ignores your application for years, we go to Federal Court. We do not back down because a file becomes complex or expensive.

Contingency for personal injury: You pay nothing until we win. Our legal fees, disbursements, and expert costs are paid from the proceeds of your settlement or judgment — there are no upfront costs.

Our Approach to Personal Injury

Personal injury law in Ontario is highly technical. The Insurance Act, the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule, the Limitations Act, and the Courts of Justice Act all interact in ways that can close off an injured person's rights if strict deadlines are missed. We track every deadline from the first consultation and we act before documents and evidence disappear.

On liability, we retain the best accident reconstruction engineers, medical specialists, life care planners, and vocational experts — funded by us — to build a case that is compelling both in settlement negotiations and at trial.

Our Approach to Immigration Litigation

Canadian immigration law operates through a complex web of administrative tribunals — the Refugee Protection Division, the Refugee Appeal Division, the Immigration Appeal Division, and the Immigration Division — all subject to review by the Federal Court. Only licensed lawyers can appear before the Federal Court, and only lawyers with immigration litigation experience know how to move efficiently through these interconnected proceedings.

At Azimi Law, we have built a dedicated immigration litigation practice alongside our personal injury work. The same analytical precision we bring to reconstructing a car accident, we bring to identifying the reviewable error in an RPD credibility finding or the unreasonableness in an IRCC refusal decision.

Languages We Serve

Our team collectively serves clients in English, Farsi (Persian), Spanish, and Arabic. We believe every client deserves to understand their legal situation fully — in the language they think in.
