Accidents in Canada happen most on Fridays and Saturdays

According to the 2017 Allstate Canada Safe Driving Study, at a national level the majority of the accidents occur on Fridays or Saturdays.  In Ontario, the date with most collision claims between 2012-2017 was February 12 and the date with fewest collision claims was December 25 and maybe because generally people are celebrating Christmas within the confines of their homes.

The frequency of the collisions claims on Fridays was 16.8% at a national level.

Although these statistics are from one insurance company, they reveal interesting information such as indicating that the majority of the accidents occur because of rear-ends (25%), turning and intersections (21%), and parked vehicles at (18%) while pedestrian and cyclist (2%) and head-on collisions at (1%).
