Driving from one place to another has become a part of our daily life in such a way that we don’t even think of the small details anymore. As drivers, we have insurance policies in place, but most of us don’t know what it is that we are getting. We make payments with the expectation that if we get into an accident there is nothing to worry about because our insurer will pay for the damages.
When placed in such unfortunate circumstances, we come to realize that our insurance company provides us with more than just car replacements, damage coverage, and rental car coverage. Each and every insurer has additional benefits that are referred to as “Accident Benefits”. You may have come across these terms when reading about the different areas of expertise we provide.
With insurance, standard Accident Benefits you may be entitled to include Income Replacement Benefits and Non-Earner Benefits. If you have been involved in an accident and are unable to complete typical daily tasks or resume employment, these benefits are set in place to assist you. Income Replacement Benefits will allow you to receive a percentage of your income while recovering from your injuries. If you are a student or unemployed, likewise, Non-Earner Benefits will allow you to have some funding while recovering from your injuries.
Attendant Care Benefits and Medical and Rehabilitation Benefits may also be of use to you. If your accident has caused you complete inability to attend to your needs, such as preparing meals, hygiene routines, and taking care of your dependents, Attendant Care Benefits may be of interest to you. While trying to recover from your inability to resume normal life, your insurer also provides the option of Medical and Rehabilitation benefits to cover your costs for treatments, such as physiotherapy and chiropractic.
If you have suffered a loss and would like more information regarding the above noted benefits, please call Azimi Law and speak to our team!
